An established breaking and pre-training yard with excellent facilities. In a beautiful rural location on the Mendip Hills forming part of a family farm.
Both Matt and Fliss grew up with horses and a family focus on racing. They met at Philip Hobbs yard in 2008 and married in 2017. Matt became a successful amateur jockey many winners in point- to-points and under rules.
They realised their long held ambition of establishing their own yard with a clear vision of how they would set themselves apart. They both strongly believe that training the horse's mind is equally as important as achieving peak physical fitness. This is accomplished by a combination of nutrition, environment, skilled horsemanship and bespoke training exercises.
"In addition to breaking and pre training we offer rest and rehabilitation, stalls training, schooling, summer and winter holidays. Since establishing our business in 2016, we have successfully trained numerous point to point and hunter chase winners. A strong interest and work experience within flat racing has enabled us to grow our client base particularly with trainers, studs and owners who send us yearlings to break and pre train. We have a comprehensive range of facilities to suit both codes, and we live on the yard. Please get in touch for more information, or why not arrange a visit to the to discuss your requirements and meet the team." - Matt & Fliss Hampton.
